Hakim Raquib for the past 45 years has been photographing his community of Roxbury, Massachusetts and the world. Over the years, he has captured the ever-changing landscape of his community. He says “the influx of new immigrants, and gentrification has created a change in the social, political and cultural aspect of American life, it has expanded my vision of the world”. Currently, he is an artist in residence at “African American Master Artists in Residence Program” where he has been developing his skills in the digital art medium.
