Marlon's current drawing series is both an investigation of my dreams and also how social media and Pop Culture has dealt with the Corona Virus pandemic through the lens of the black body, religion, architecture, and basketball. Inspired by the work of both Carl Jung and Surrealist, my drawings explore unconscious and conscious worlds by virtually "zooming" them together by interweaving images such as; school, hospital, art history, Africa, buses, and protective gear in a Minimalist background. Blue collar workers and Spring Breakers push up against empty hard edge spaces that function as barriers and windows, highlighting a quarantined narrative.
